2012 winter harvest makes the news

Young Living’s recent Winter Harvest event was a great success! In January distributors from all over the world gathered at the Young Living lavender farm in St. Maries and at the Highland Flats tree farm in Naples, Idaho, to help produce pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils. Alongside D. Gary Young, founder, president, and CEO, and Cory Weaver, vice president of global farm operations, attendees braved the cold, snowy weather to cut, chip, and distill oil from a variety of trees.

Altogether, the harvest and distillation yielded excellent results—more than 200 gallons of pine and nearly 300 gallons of blue spruce essential oils.

Young Living’s hands-on, detail-oriented harvesting process also captured the attention of the local and national media, with articles in the Obtainer magazine and the St. Maries Gazette Record.
