{"id":13412,"date":"2016-11-14T02:38:44","date_gmt":"2016-11-14T07:38:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/essentialoilsage.com\/?p=13412"},"modified":"2016-11-14T02:41:47","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T07:41:47","slug":"recipe-dark-chocolate-gingerbread-truffles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essentialoilsage.com\/?p=13412","title":{"rendered":"Recipe: Dark Chocolate Gingerbread Truffles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13413\" src=\"https:\/\/essentialoilsage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/recipe-chocolate-gingerbread-truffles.jpg\" alt=\"Recipe: Chocolate Gingerbread Truffles\" width=\"640\" height=\"340\" \/>Prep time: 30 minutes, plus cooling time<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Makes 12 truffles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 oz dark chocolate (at least 50% cacao), finally chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon coconut oil<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon Yacon Syrup<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup coconut milk<\/li>\n<li>Pink of salt<\/li>\n<li>2 drop Cinnamon Bark Vitality essential oil<\/li>\n<li>2 drops Ginger Vitality essential oil<\/li>\n<li>1 drop Clove Vitality essential oil<\/li>\n<li>1 drop Nutmeg Vitality essential oil<\/li>\n<li>Unsweetened cocoa powder for rolling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Place the chopped chocolate in a heat-proof bowl and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Combine the coconut oil, Yacon Syrup, coconut milk, and salt in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer (do not boil).<\/li>\n<li>Pour mixture over reserved chopped chocolate. Let stand for 1-2 minutes; then stir gently until completely melted and smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the drops of essential oil.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate until mixture is just set, about 2 hours.<\/li>\n<li>With a small scoop, make 12 balls, rolling each between the palms of your hands to smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Place about 1\/4 cup of cocoa powder in the bottom of a shallow plate or dish.
